San Cristobal El Principe
The San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe is a good short smoke to have when the time is of the essence and still enjoying the same flavor profile.
-
- • This cigar can hold its own against a Partagas Shorts or a Montecristo No. 5.
- • A great example of what a great petit corona can be.
This cigar is a great digestive after a rich meal.

San Cristobal El Principe Smoking Notes:
Before lighting up
The cigar does not have a strong scent but there are faint hints of tobacco, earth, and barnyard with mild aromas of grassy tobacco.
Burn/ Draw
Lighting is pretty easy with such a small ring gauge. The draw is very good. The burn is a little wavy but self correcting. No touch ups required.
Initial third:
The El Principe tastes of grass, crème, honey and also tastes like a bigger cigar. The cigar delivers thick, rich and grassy smoke, with cedar, nutmeg, coffee and earth flavors.
Middle third:
Smoke it slowly to prevent the bitterness of coffee and dark chocolate. The flavors are balancing out and the cigar reveals its medium to full body. The draw is still good and the burn is even after correcting itself. Woody and spicy flavors are now more noticeable, accompanied by earthy, wood and honey tones.
Final third:
In the last third, the cigar is very balanced and enjoyable. It gets stronger towards the end, with full flavors of sweetness, leather, wood and nuts, but it never becomes harsh or hot. It has a leathery, smoky, grassy finish.
In summary, it’s intense and tasty from the first puff, though not with a very strong nicotine punch.
San Cristobal El Principe Smoking time:

I would have given 5 stars for service and prompt delivery but dropped one on account of the cigar. Nothing wrong with it. Just not a great smoke. And, for the money I probably shouldn’t complain at all. Anyway, I was a bit hesitant about ordering from “luxury cubans” when I put in my first order last year, but now am an avid fan and highly Read more about review stating great service
recommend this company.
