The Vegueros Mananitas is a medium bodied Habano of Petit Piramide format, with 46 ring gauge, 3.9” (100mm) long and comes in a tin box of 16 cigars. Vegueros is a regional brand, not found easily, and its classic vitolas have been discontinued in 2012 and replaced in 2013 by a line-up of 3 new cigars: the Mananitas, Tapados and Entretiempos. The Mananitas is a nice and short figurado, with a rather big ring gauge, a size that modern Cuban cigar aficionados are looking for. Delivering classic Cuban woody, earthy and spicy flavors in about 40 minutes smoke, this cigar is a great pick for a novice or for a try-out.
The Vegueros Mananitas is a great after dinner cigar that is not too harsh and provides excellent flavors.
- • Great construction on this short figurado, amazing draw and burn.
- • Creamy and smooth flavors, lots of cedar, earth, sweet spices and herbal notes.
This cigar is simply an affordable and delicious short Cuban smoke.

Vegueros Mananitas Appearance:
The Vegueros Mananitas looks very nice, offering a smooth and pretty oily wrapper with a nice Colorado claro color (medium brown). The wrapper is virtually veinless, except for one or two small fine veins. The cigar seems very well rolled, tightly packed from the head to the foot. There are no apparent soft spots, it feels firm in hand. It is a short cigar but it is very well constructed. The seams are almost invisible; the cap is very nicely applied. The band has also been updated to a more modern look; the green logo looks sharp on the brown wrapper.
Vegueros Mananitas Smoking Notes:
Before lighting up
Upon opening the tin box, barnyard flavors come out the cigars. At cold, rich herbal aromas, barnyard and sweet tobacco notes emanate from the foot. After clipping the cap, the cigar reveals a smooth draw, which leaves lots of honey on the palate.
The draw remains smooth and easy throughout the whole cigar. The construction of the Vegueros Mananitas is impeccable; the burn line is sharp for most of the smoke, except for one or two touch-ups. At the foot, a beautiful white ash develops and holds on for a while. The cigar generates a thick and smooth smoke all along.
The first third of the cigar start at a mild to medium body, with some beautiful typical Cuban flavors. We get some toasted oats notes, a nice and sweet tobacco flavor, some earthy notes and some green pepper that brings some spiciness. There are also some cedar notes on the nose and on the palate. The finish is long and smooth leaving some toasted tobacco notes on the tongue. There are also some herbal characteristics, some hints of grass and of tea. The strength is slowly building up along the first third.
In the middle third, the Vegueros Mananitas is now at a medium body, the flavors become also stronger. The spicy notes ramp up, there is more green pepper. At the same time, the cedar becomes more powerful. There are also some beautiful toasty flavors coming up, like toasted bread or roasted nuts. The wood and the toastiness remain in the mouth on the finish. The flavors are not too complex, but they are spot on, and work well together. There are also hints of coffee and of a creamy sweetness, almost like custard. The burn and the draw remain very good; this is a beautiful middle section.
In the final third, the flavor profile evolves once again; some grassy notes from the first third come back. The last third is still very creamy, but the custard notes have left. The green pepper is now very pronounced, but it is not harsh or too spicy. However, the strength has increased again, and it is more a medium to full body. There are still ample woodsy flavors, some coffee notes and now some earthy notes. The burn allows you to smoke it until the nub.
In summary, the Vegueros Mananitas is a great short smoke, which a perfect construction, not too strong; a perfect first smoke for a beginner or an afternoon break.
Vegueros Mananitas Smoking time:
30 – 50 Minutes
Nice little cigar. A bit raw but still it’s a pleasure to smoke.
Website was exceptional, delivery was on time and product was fantastic.
Vergueros means ‘the people’s cigar’. These are what the Cubans smoke themselves. Interesting to smoke the same tobacco that the locals smoke. Very nice blend. Great burn and a nice silky textured smoke. Taste is typical for Cuban tobacco- creamy, sweet with overtones of coffee and a hint of salt. I smoke these to the nub! Great cigar for the price! Great service from luxury cubans too!
I always purchase my cigars fromluxury cubans because service is always exceptional and I can get singles and they price match. This one in particular was exceptionally good and will definitely purchase again
Nice smoke 30 to 40mins if you don’t get a stalk wrapped in the midst that will drive the temperature if the draw very hot
A well wrapped cigar that tastes good, burns well and is an excellent value
It was alright. Mild to medium though flavor was somewhat bland. Shipping was long.
luxury cubans is a great cigar website let me find this one. nice smoke and blend, especially excellent burn. i’ll buy again next time!
Are just that! luxury cubans! I enjoyed the Vegueros and the Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure No 1. I am extremely happy with all my purchases through luxury cubans and will continue to do so. A fantastic company with great integrity that compliments their products and services.
Glad I found this site. Cigars came in great condition. One recommendation I would make is they did not come with a humidification device to keep them proper while in shipping for 10 days. Other than that couldn’t be happier.
Great cigar. Everything arrived right, well packed.
These were great. In the mood for a short smoke these are the perfect size and taste as good as the larger cigars.
Short and sweet. Outstanding quick smoke!
I prefer vegueros entretiempos but this one is also good if you have limited for smoking time during the day. Package was ok, eventhough not humidor in the box, cigars was not dry or mould stains, arrived very good condition in 2 weeks which is not too long. But they forgot to put a gift in the box for my first order 🙂
Hope next time (54 ring6” long ı like most fyi 🙂 )
Ordered two boxes of these. Great dollar value. On time delivery, great packaging of my order. Already have my text order sent. May thanks!
Bought these to just try them out and was pleasantly surprised. Had that wonderful sweetness that you expect in a cuban. Smoked 2 of them immediately and the others will rest in my humidor for a bit.
The Vegueros Mananitas are an affordable, solid Cuban smoke in a relatively quick smoking format (though I recommend taking your time). I’ve bought several from luxury cubans and they always burn well with enough interesting flavors to capitalize on a low price point.
Great service as always!

Solid rather quick smoke. Very good taste and great beginner cigar.

took awhile to get them but they made it. This is a pretty good stick and it is the right size for a lunch break smoke.
This cigar is excellent. Even burning and very smooth all the way down to the stub. I can’t wait to try the others that I ordered and will definitely do doing more business with you. The entire transaction went well!
Cigars arrived in 3 weeks and in perfect condition! I will definitely order again.
Light and enjoyable smoke
Tried this brand for the first time and I was Pleasantly surprised.
Your service was very goog. About Vegueros I can only say one Word is sastisfied !!! Its flavour is verygood .
These are a pleasant departure from most cigars, even others from Cuba. Bold flavors without any harshness. I would expect these to age quite well, and the tins I bought were packaged May 2017.
