Jose L Piedra Cazadores
The Jose L Piedra Cazadores is an affordable and tasty Cuban cigar, of Cazador format, 43 ring gauge, 6″ (152mm) long and comes in box of 25 cigars. Never too strong and full of typical Cuban flavors, it is really a great Habano which quality price ratio cannot be easily beaten.

Before lighting up
Aromas of tobacco and leather.
Burn/ Draw
The burn is a little wavy and the draw is okay.
Initial third:
Starts with some grassy notes with an undertone of hay.
Middle third:
The second third gives way to some tobacco and leather flavors with a hint of bitter coffee and bitter chocolate.
Final third:
A slightly hot finish of creamy coffee and oak, not very complex but still has a flavor all its own.
In summary, a good cigar for a minimal investment.

The draw on this cigar is not consistent but does not significantly change the flavor or enjoyment. I simply like a nice easy draw as I do not like to have to suck my cigar. the flavor is cuban with an earthiness that is consistently medium bodied and flavorful all the way to the nub. This is a great first cigar for new smokers and an excellent daily smoke

You won’t do backflips over these, but they are an ok everyday cigar. There are better non Cubans in similar price range.

Cigars arrived in less than 10 days which is normal period for delivery to my country. I verified stamps with Habanos site and so the authenticity of cigars was confirmed. Cigars are in excellent condition, I have already smoked a few and they are simply delicious. If you continue with the same quality and prices, I will be returning to you regularly.

This is my first box of Piedra Cazadores. It will not be my last! I like the Brevas, but this box of Cazadores is outstanding…Never mind that I can enjoy three or four of these for the price of a Monte Christo…They look a little rustic, but they smoke Great!

Great price paid for 50 cigars and they arrived well packaged and within the ten days quoted, sadly 90% of the cigars had white mold visiable, I took photos and sent to customer services but they tried to convince me it was Plume (felt a bit insulted). They did say I could return them but as that would have been at my expence I have worked on the cigars over a week and managed to salvage them and they are now in my Humi and appear OK with no returning mold “fingers crossed”…..! (it was a shame that I could not enjoy them on arrival). This was my first order so maybe just unlucky but making me think twice about ordering again…

I’ve smoked non-Cuban Jose Piedras and enjoyed them, so I’ve always wanted to try the Cuban version. My order arrived from Europe in a blazing 8 days — i couldn’t believe it. But once I say the green customs on the bottom of the box I knew my early birthday present had arrived. (I also ordered a box of Punch Punch as well.)
I was eager to try one and did not let them re-humidify for a few days, and the result was not good. Tasted terrible. But a few days in the ol’ humidor and they were good to go. (Same for the Punchs.)
So if for no other reason than the price, I can say these are a good buy. They’ve got that classic Cuban “taste” and they’re perfect for handing out as freebies to your golf buddies or those uninitiated to fine cigars — Cuban or otherwise — upon you don’t necessarily want to waste a classy cigar on someone whose palate isn’t experienced enough to appreciate it. I would recommend these Piedras for the reasons stated above. It’s good Cuban “starter” smoke. My only request to Luxury Cubans would that voiced commonly by others: include humidifier packs in your shipments

I wanted to see what a $4 cuban was like. The Piedra was not bad but I like a stronger smoke. The rest of my order was just fine. You store brand robusto.was excellent Willl be placing another order in a few days.

I have smokes JLP Brevas for years. Still buy them but thought that I would like to try the other ones. Taxes are high where I live and to buy everyday smokes at a fair price is impossible. $3 to $4 a stick when I can buy better sticks at a better price. I judge a cigar by taste, rolling but I care most about relighting. I find JLP’s as well as oher lower priced Cuban cigars well worth the enjoyment. Two and three smokes a day with a $5 to $10 price tag is above my price range. These smaller Cubans are a great smoke and last twice as long as non Cubans because of the tighter rollings. Relight, and the taste is still the same

I like the Jose Piedra cigars because they’re a very relaxing brand to enjoy. My normal cigars were out so I decided to try these and we very pleasantly surprised. They smoke well and go great with having an adult beverage or two and just relaxing. I will definitely be buying more in the future.

Loved this cigar for the price. All the great usuall taste you get with a Cuban but for less. It wont knock you off your feet but it is a light smoke, and does not produce a lot of smoke and the flavors are not complex. Will buy again, thanks Luxury Cubans
